How to Become an Effective Agent of Change
David Engwicht – Director of Creative Communities International
You are passionate about making your community a better place. But sometimes this feels like you’re wading through quicksand – the more you struggle the deeper you sink. Red tape. Endless meetings. Entrenched cultures. Roadblock after roadblock. But is creating change meant to be this hard? Or are there more effective strategies?
In this Masterclass, David will share the secrets to thinking outside the box about effective ways for creating the change you desire.
In this Masterclass, David will:
- Unpack why the traditional approaches to creating change are often ineffective
- Explain alternative approaches
- Share four techniques that will get you thinking outside the box about the area you are passionate about
- Help you generate alternative approaches to this area, and develop a personal plan to test one or more of these new strategies.
Who Should Attend?
Anyone who would like to be a more effective change agent:
- Community members and leaders
- Local Government Councilors
- Local Government executive and staff
- Professionals in the fields of community development, personal development, economic vitality, place making, health, and urban design
- NGOs working for social or cultural change.
